At the top of every hour (when there is light in the room), the clock plays a melody, alternating between one of three famous hymns: Amazing Grace, Rock of Ages, and What a Friend We Have in Jesus. Each melody lasts 20-30 seconds. A light sensor at top of clock face deactivates music when room is dark.
